About Us
History
We trace our roots back to Berlin, Germany in 2013. After a decade of schism, the Asian debaters from clubs representing Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and more formed the Asia in Berlin Community: a network for young Asians who believed in the power of British Parliamentary debating to change society for the better.
Nine years later and Asia Debating is now one of the largest online networks of debaters in the world, spanning more than 12000 registered members - all past or present debaters.
This makes every Asian debating competition hosted in the different Asian countries connect to Asia Debating in one or more ways. Debaters firmly rooted in their Asian Home reaching out to the rest of the world, where they may find themselves in college, in their professional lives, and further.
We share with our debaters a journey that we took ourselves, with the support and resources of parents not unlike theirs, in the promise that what formed who we are may inspire them too.

Some Noteworthy Accomplishments
Our Head Coach and consultants have a history making and hard to replicate footprint:
- The 2nd Best Novice Speaker of the 2019 North American Universities Debating Championship hosted in-person in Geneva, New York won by a 13-year old client
- Top 10 Prizes and Finals' Series Appearances at the WUDC, WSDC, Oxford Schools, Cambridge Schools, Harvard World Schools, and World Scholars Cup Global Rounds hosted at Yale University (all in-person, 2016-2019)
- Other smaller events hosted online and in-person, including the 2022 Asia Online Debating Championship, 2022 Tsinghua International School Spring Invitational, and more
Client Focused Solutions
Unlike a traditional tuition center, Asia Debating Group focuses on a small number of top performers and provides troubleshooting of high level problems. These range from travel bookings, logistics provisions, speech and performance evaluation supplements (voice and video), admissions consulting, and more. Each debater has his or her own unique set of challenges and obstacles. We chart the path, hire the boat, and sail each journey together.

Debating Services and Solutions
Training
Our Head Coach and consultants offer a training regiment that blends the study of politics, philosophy, and economics with public speaking and sportsmanship. The same combination of elements found in the liberal arts classroom, corporate strategy meeting space, and debating chamber. All sessions include a win-loss scoresheet and tracked feedback.
Field Trip and Camp
We partner up with five-star hotels around the world to provide comfortable stays in various academic pursuits: debate workshops at Harvard College, tournament field trip to Cambridge or New York, seasonal residential camps at the Marriott during school holidays. These are executed with a meticulous level of safeguarding, the most qualified instructors, and contained to maximize value and get you back to class on-time on Monday.
Special Projects
We offer in-house professional training for schools and universities under many white label and partnership arrangements - including hosting tournaments. We also offer services for individuals in corporate management (e.g. confidence mentorship) and interview and application assistance for both graduate school and top companies' hiring processes. This includes the securing of aid or loans towards one's study abroad expenses.

In 2015, our head coach and his team together with SolBridge University brought the Austral-Asian Championships back to Korea. The Daejeon event was the second time the tournament was hosted in Northeast Asia, after the 2011 edition held also in Korea, in Seoul.
In 2013, China's Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics became host of the Asian British Parliamentary Championship. This was the first and up to now only Asia-regional event for debating hosted in Mainland China. Head Coach Daryl was appointed as Chief Adjudicator of Asia in that year - the youngest ever to have held this position.
